Film and cemetery tour

Film Description:
In Berlin, a young queer person meets the 'Grave WG', a group of older lesbians driven by a political vision to maintain their visibility as lesbians beyond death. As the young person navigates expectations and shares profound thoughts, this intergenerational encounter sparks a discourse on co-living and (co-)dying in the LGBTQIA+ community.

Cemetery tour:
On this tour, we will explore the diverse queeriosities and unique features of the Old St. Matthew's Cemetery.

Film Beschreibung:

"The function, the very serious function of racism is distraction. It keeps you from doing your work. It keeps you explaining, over and over again, your reason for being.
Somebody says you have no language and you spend twenty years proving that you do. Somebody says your head isn’t shaped properly so you have scientists working on the fact that it is. Somebody says you have no art, so you dredge that up. Somebody says you have no kingdoms, so you dredge that up. None of this is necessary. There will always be one more thing."

"Identity is a shifting, changing chameleon. You would think that so many frames and seismic shiftings would result in a fragmented, dislocated being, but this is not so. Such shiftings and fragmentations impel us to use our imaginations to figure out who we are and who and what we can become." -Gloria E. Anzaldúa
