LesMigraS Berlin

Tarot for Healing & Liberation is a three-part series on connecting and working with tarot as a tool for collective healing & liberation through personal spiritual practice. We will locate the ways that tarot, in connection with other spiritual modalities, (plant)-cestral connection, and divine communion can support the reclamation of our relationships with our bodies, spirits, and autonomy.

Over the course of the three workshops, we will first deepen in our understanding of the major arcana, then the minor arcana, and finally practice using this understanding as a foundation for ancestral & divine channeling. All levels are welcome, and participants are invited to bring their own decks along if they have them.

We’ll explore how relating with/through tarot can bring us closer to ourselves, our power, and the wisdom and truths we contain. And what it can help us draw from other realms to inform and nourish our collective movements for the liberation of all beings.

Her activism consists mainly of bringing racialized communities together to learn from each other, engage in dialogue, and give space to feelings of anger.

workshop: whydarkskinmatters

The interactive empowerment workshop examines the photo series “why darkskin matters” and the refocusing on darker-skinned Black, African, and Afro-diasporic people. Dark(er) skin is not positioned as a deficit, but rather understood as the source of Blackness. Interactive workshop means that we will not only deal with workshop themes on a theoretical level, but also work with our bodies, moving, feeling, and understanding them.

At the end, we’ll get creative! So feel free to bring (recent) photos of yourselves. There will be an opportunity to be photographed for the whydarkskinmatters photo series after the workshop. Participation in the photo shoot is completely voluntary. The workshop is exclusively for queer and trans* darkskin Black, African, and Afro-diasporic people. ...

LesMigraS invites BIPoC queer individuals to a creative polymer-clay workshop. In a relaxed and supportive atmosphere, you can work with polymer-clay and create your own jewelry pieces. The workshop will be guided by Melika, who will support you through the creative process and make space for your ideas.
No previous experience is needed and you don’t need to bring anything, all materials will be provided. The workshop is free of charge.
Especially in times of crisis, spaces like this are important. Places where we can come together, be creative, and use creativity as part of our coping strategies. Come by, try things out, and spend a creative time with us.

Taye (he/they) is a political educator by day and an alchemist by night because they like to believe that complexity holds meaning. They have been a Hellenistic astrologer for 13+ years and are currently a student of Vedic Astrology and Tarot. Their astrological approach is holistic, interpretive and trauma-informed and is dedicated to deciphering complexity through the astrological chart.

Workshop: Free Will (LOL): A Cheat Code for Navigating Oppressive Systems

This workshop explores free will, agency, boundaries, and autonomy against the context of ancestral influence and the personal spiritual guide known in Igbo ontology as chi. Participants will examine how agency emerges under constraint, how choice is shaped by internal energy and relational networks, and how Black communities have exercised free will through both covert and overt resistance.

Through a combination of interactive games, lecture, discussion, and grounding practices, participants will explore how choice arises under constraint, consider alignment with their chi, and situate personal agency within social, ethical, and ancestral frameworks. ...

Through the colonial lens, femininity has been warped and pathologised as something foreign, oppressive, and weak to our bodies. Many of us have been taught to distrust softness, to shrink our expression, and to fear the depth of the power carried in our gestures, voices, and presence.

This workshop invites participants to gently interrogate those inherited narratives and reconnect with the embodied wisdom of our ancestors. Together, we will explore our lived experiences of expression, reclaim historical beauty in unapologetic being, and engage dance forms from Ballroom culture as celebration, resistance, and affirmation through sound, movement, and collective exploration.
