Protect me from what I want: a workshop on race, capitalism, and desire
This workshop is a space for Black and People of Color to interrogate how our desires are informed by power, and to consider how to build genders and
sexualities that challenge white supremacy and imperialism. We begin with a discussion of how desire, race, and imperialism are connected, and then move even more broadly to understand how beauty functions in relation to racist capitalism.
This is a creative, intentional, anti-racist, and feminist space.

Protect Me From What I Want is participant driven and involved: it has individual writing, exercises, small group discussion, and participation.

Transgender Parents shares stories of trans people who transitioned in the presence of their kids and some who transitioned prior to founding families - all being out as trans and as parents, in ways that weren’t really possible 20 years ago.Transgender Parents centres the importance of access to building and continuing parent-child relationships in the presence of a gender transition.
